The Department of Counseling and School Psychology, primarily a graduate level professional preparation community, promotes critical inquiry, reflection, self development and social action in its faculty and students.

We are committed to work towards equity and economic and social justice within the university, our professions, and throughout the broader  society.

We prepare Marriage and Family Therapists, Community Counselors, School Counselors, and School Psychologists

with graduate degrees: MA, MS, and EdS Degrees and PPS Credentials

We offer the Undergraduate Minor in Counseling and Social Change to those interested in the helping professions as they intersect with issues of class, race, gender and social justice.
