The School Counseling Program

This program consists of a 60-unit M.S. Which includes 51 units to fulfill the State of California's Pupil Personnel Services credential. Most candidates complete their first year of the credential program in the community Based Block (CBB) which is fully compatible in philosophy and design with the first year to the M.S. program objectives. A limited number of candidates complete the credential program as a cognate (building on the program strengths, but extending the Course of study) in either the School Psychology Program of the marriage Family and Child counseling Program. All candidates for the School Counseling degree participate for a minimum of two years of full-time graduate study and field work.

All programs required a Certificate of Clearance for doing field work in schools.
