Global Visioning

Identify 5 global trends that are likely to determine the future of the world, such as, peacefull coexistance among coutnries, democratization of polticially underdeveloped regions of the world, eradication of poverty, availability of alternative energy sources, ubiquitous availablity of wireless telecommunication.


Professional Visioning

Identify 5 trends that are likely to affect the future of the field of educational technology, such as, improved availabibility of research results to professionals, certification of instrcutional desingers and performance technologists, ubiquitous availabity of web-based computing resouces (e.g. Google Pages, and Docs), paradigm shift in authoring tools for scripting and programing langues (e.g. XML), ubiquitous availabity of Internet2.

Personal Visioning

Identify 5 events that are likely to change your future career, such as, promotion to a mamgement level, moving from one type of organization to another (e.g. moving from K-12 teaching to training in business), familiy exigencies that require your relocation, distrucptive technology that could make your job obsolete, receiving a career offer in an entirely diferent professional arena which you cannot refues.

Developing a Scenario

Select an event that has a high probability of occuring in your future. Develop a scenario for how you would be transitioning from your current career to the future career.
