Desktop Publishing/Powerpoint Assignment
Project: Choose one to complete
The
document you create should be informational (about yourself, an educational
organization, or current event)
OPTION 1
Use any
word processing program to create a one page newsletter, brochure or flyer.
To receive a score of 12 out of 15 it should contain (at least) the following
elements: a title at the top, two different fonts, two graphics from different
sources (a text wrapped graphic from clip art files, grabbed from the Internet,
a graphic created in a draw/paint program or a scanned image), text aligned
in 2 different ways (right, left or centered), two or three columns.
To earn 15 out of 15 points, you'll need to dazzle your instructor somehow.
Suggestions:
include a photograph, either taken using a digital camera or scanned, create
a folded brochure (i.e. a two-sided newsletter),
or some other detail that makes your newsletter look extraordinarily fantastic!
Turn
in a printed copy of your newsletter. Color is not mandatory, but it's always
fun!
OPTION
2
Create a 5-6 slide Powerpoint presentation on an informational topic
(see above for details).
To receive 12 out of 15 points you'll need to include a title slide, at least
two graphics, animated text fields, transitions and a design background.
To earn 15 out of 15 you'll need to go further to impress your instructor
with a link to the Internet and another more advanced detail like an image
you created or took with a digital camera or a concept map you inserted. Creativity
is encouraged!
Turn this assignment in by attaching it to an email to Terri AND printing
out the slides (6 per page) to submit in class.
