Linking Your Animoto Movie to Your Site
Google Sites makes it easy to make to create great looking web pages with minimal blood, sweat and tears. Unfortunately, it doesn't let you embed movies from Animoto as easily as we'd like. There are a few extra steps to go through. This page will show you how.
1
Grab a still from your movie
Play the movie and pause it at a visually interesting spot. Grab a copy of the screen using the techniques we covered earlier in the course under Acquiring Graphics.
2
Share the movie using Twitter
Click on the Twitter icon as if you were going to tweet your movie to the world.
Your Twitter home page will open up. Select the URL and copy it. If you want to actually send the tweet out, click on update but that's not critical. We're just using this as a way to get the link.
4
Add the still image to your Google Site page
Under the Insert menu, choose Image. Browse your desktop to find the screen image you made and upload it. Adjust the size as needed.
5
Hit return a few times and write some text below the picture.
1. Click on the Link tool.
2. Click on web address.
3. Paste in the link you got from Twitter.
4. Hit OK.
7
Done! We've got the link.
