Grading
Final letter grades will be assigned based on points accumulated through completed assignments. The following scale provides point values and corresponding letter grades:
| B+ = 87 - 89 | C+ = 77 - 79 | D+ = 67 - 69 | F = 59% and below | |
| A = 95 - 100 | B = 83 - 86 | C = 73 - 76 | D = 63 - 66 | |
| A- = 90 - 94 | B- = 80 - 82 | C- = 70 - 72 | D- = 60 - 62 |
Although this course is designed to provide students with an introductory experience in developing technology-delivered instruction, it is important to note that all project submissions will be evaluated against high standards. Final projects should be proofread and free of spelling and grammatical errors. Evidence that considerable thought has been given to the content, design, and production of the project should be apparent.
Based on the guidelines in the SDSU Bulletin, the department defines letter grades as follows:
A Outstanding achievement; for only the highest accomplishment
A- Excellent performance; clearly exceeds course requirements
B+ High achievement; clearly and substantially meets course criteria
B Praiseworthy performance; definitely above average
B- Acceptable performance in a graduate course; meets most course requirements
C+ Average; awarded for satisfactory performance; marginal performance in a graduate course
Because you will find many opportunities for creativity in the execution of your projects, I cannot clearly delineate in advance the criteria for an "A" versus "B" versus "C" grade. However, the "A" grade is reserved for special efforts that exceed expectations, that demonstrate exceptional creativity, boldness, commitment, ingenuity, or elegance.
