Decide on your first project. For example:
- Scenario-based e-learning (if you haven't done this in a previous class), or
- eBook, m-learning, or augmented reality (AR) design and development, or
- a design and development topic of your own, with approval of the instsructor
If you've chosen scenario-based e-learning, here's how to get started:
- View Cathie Moore's How to save the world with e-learning scenarios
- Log into eLearning Blueprint (username: TBA; password: TBA), read "Why?" and read and complete:
- Map: What's your business goal? (yes, you can translate this for P-12 and higher educational settings!)
- Map: What must learners do?
- Choose a topic from an EDTEC class that lends itself to scenario-based elearning. See examples on the Scenario-based e-learning assignment page.
- Choose and begin learning an authoring platform. See examples on the Scenario-based e-learning assignment page.
- Optional relevant reading
- Michael Allen's Guide to e-Learning (hitherto known as MAG), Chapters 1-2
If you've chosen an "independent study" project, gather the information you need and email the instructor a brief proposal (1-2 paragraphs) of what you'd like to accomplish.
