The ERIC Clearinghouse on Assessment and Evaluation has gathered into one site some of the most relevant links to educational research, and the most comprehensive test locator services. The Test Locator services offer several searchable testing databases, tips on how to best select and evaluate a test, information on fair practice, and useful links to resources available on the World Wide Web.

In addition to locating tests and test reviews, the Test Locator links to the Codes of Fair Testing Practices, which state the major obligations to test takers of educational test developers and users. It presents standards and a series of guidelines for test developers and users in four areas:
(a) developing and selecting tests,
(b) interpreting scores,
(c) fairness, and
(d) informing test takers.
The test locator services also links to the Test Selection Tips, which addresses nine standards relevant to the evaluation of testing materials, prior to their adoption for use. These standards include:
- test coverage and use
- appropriate samples for test validation and norming
- reliability
- predictive validity
- content validity
- construct validity
- test administration
- test reporting
- test items and bias
On to finding test activity.
