The
Educational Technology program
at SDSU includes "soft technology": techniques for
identifying educational problems and solving them in a way
that uses what we know about how people learn. The SDSU
Masters program also provides hands-on experience with "hard
technology", preparing its graduates to use exciting new
learning technologies.
The program
emphasis is on real
world experiences. Approximately 2 years are spent actually
designing and developing tangible solutions to field-based
problems. An extensive portfolio is developed and the
effectiveness of instructional strategies and products
evaluated.
