In Family Horizons we believe all children can learn in an advanced academic environment and be prepared to enter college prep classes in high school. In addition, we believe that higher learning and critical thinking are equally as important as becoming a productive, responsible, caring citizen. This is our goal.

Current Projects
The family is involved with an interdisciplinary project on colonizing Mars. This involves science, computers, humanities and math. Students are analyzing the characteristics of Mars as a planet and calculating what it would take to live on Mars. As part of this they are drafting blueprints for housing. In humanities we have been discussing the social ramifications of setting up a colony and what type of government would be successful.
