The O'Farrell/SDSU Partnership
The Educational Technology Department at San Diego State is one of six departments within the College of Education. Since O'Farrell opened its doors in 1990, graduate students in the Ed Tech program have conducted projects at the school involving instructional materials development, research, needs assessment and evaluation.
In 1993, the Ed Tech Department, the School of Teacher Education and O'Farrell School jointly established the Teaching, Technology and Restructuring Partnership(T2ARP) credential program. The program is a site-based cohort of about 25 student teachers who remain together at O'Farrell throughout their credential program.

Business and Industry Partnerships
The Apple Corporation donated equipment for one computer lab in exchange for using the classroom for district-wide staff development in the evenings. O'Farrell developed a relationship with the California Business Roundtable in the course of the charter school application process. The school is actively working with the Business Roundtable and the district to receive the infrastructure for direct access telecommunications. The school is also a Beta-test site of software for the Claris Corporation. O'Farrell was a partner with Cox Cable until the company changed its focus to schools outside the city of San Diego.
Partnerships with Regional and National Organizations
O'Farrell is a key player in the national educational reform movement. It provides leadership through its memberships in the National Alliance for Restructuring Education and the Coalition of Essential Schools.
