Option I: Curriculum Development: Emphasis Critical Pedagogy: Literacy & Social Justice
For students interested in applying the concepts of critical theory in their work in curriculum change, school reform, or student, parent and community advocacy. Students who choose this option will complete the following course program. For students who recently completed their B/CLAD Credential the course sequence may vary. |

Option 2: Curriculum Development & Emphasis |
For students interested in the principles of our program and in further development of specific subject competencies in another discipline. Students are required to identify, with MA Advisor approval, their outside option in the second year of the program. All certificate programs, such as Educational Leadership and Reading Specialist, require appropriate department application and admittance prior to course enrollment. While these programs may require more than 9 units, only 9 units from programs outside the Policy Studies Department will be accepted towards the MA. Students who choose this option will complete the following course program. |
