Writing Directions

October 1998

Note on the assignment:

Alex wrote the directions that are on this web page. He read the chapter in the textbook and we discussed. Then I presented him with this problem I was hearing about. SDCUE members were finding the type too small when they printed the membership form off the web. He had to load the programs, and solve the problem. He drafted notes. Then we discussed formatting directions (menus in CAPS) and he input the information into traditional list format in a WORD document. I transferred the information on the San Diego Computer-Using Educators home page. He did a great job and was very helpful too!

Join on-line - or print out and mail back!

The CUE Inc. web site has two versions of the membership form available.

They can be used for new members to join, or current members to update information when it is changed.

There is an on-line version or a version that can be downloaded, printed out * and returned.

* On a Mac, here are the directions to follow to get the application printed so it will be a bit easier (larger) to read. Start with the pdf file on the screen: 1. Pull down the FILE menu to PAGE SET UP, 2. Set scale to 110%, 3. Click OK, 4. Pull down the FILE menu to PRINT, 5. Select ACROBAT READER 3.0 from a pull-down menu, 6. Click on SHRINK TO FIT so it is OFF, 7. Click PRINT.
