In the fall of 1970 I was recruited to develop a new Department of Educational Technology. Fortunately a team of very bright colleagues joined in the effort over the years and the Department grew in impact and influence so things worked out pretty well. I enjoyed working during the 20th century and plan to enjoy my new 21st century status as professor emeritus by applying all that I have learned to new endeavors.
