His semi-professional and entirely too personal website
Welcome. Welcome to a website about me, Theodore J. Kopcha. Actually, I prefer to be called TJ instead of Theodore -- it’s a family tradition that just seemed to stick.
Who am I? Like most technology ‘mavens’ these days, I went and sought out Google. Yes, I Google-ed myself (I highly recommend this exciting and self-gratifying act, no matter how humbling it may be). Here’s what I found out about myself:
- I worked at Smith Middle School in Glastonbury, CT -- a technology-rich school where I made computers a core part of the curriculum
- I won a Schliffe award while I worked there (Cool!)
- I now have a Ph.D. and work as an assistant professor at SDSU
- My travel plans for AECT in Chicago several years ago are all over and ASU Blogger
- I wrote some papers for AERA about technology and change
- I made a website on designing lessons for ELL students that has a focus on the SIOP model. It has great SIOP resources and ELL lesson plans and ideas. Check it out!
- There is a pathetically sad and small amount of hits for someone with such a high opinion of himself
There you have it. If you don’t believe me, feel free to Google Search my name for yourself. Otherwise you can visit the rest of this site and learn more about my professional and personal interests. (I recommend the latter. Really, who has the time to Google all day?)
