Jason M. Naranjo's teaching and research are focused on understanding the factors that contribute to positive long-term adjustment for children and youth with disabilities. He is particularly interested in integrative approaches to evaluation and service delivery for individuals served both by schools and by social service agencies. His work is especially concerned with children and youth who live in poverty.
Prior to coming to San Diego State University, Jason worked in Oregon's public schools as both a special and a general education teacher. He also worked closely with the Oregon Judicial Department and the Department of Human Services to ensure that children and youth with disabilities who were in substitute care received appropriate services.
