Do you have a combination Master's of Education and credential program? |
|
|
To be eligible for our Master of Arts Degree in Education programs, candidates must hold a teaching credential. The Master of Arts Degree in Teaching (MAT) allows candidates to transfer credential units into the MAT program. |

How can I obtain an application for admission to the university? |

You may apply online at www.csumentor.edu, using the graduate application. |

Is the GRE test an admission requirement for the credential program? |

May I begin the program in the Spring or Fall? |

Yes. Application deadlines for both semesters are on our website. |

When are applications due? |
|

The application deadline for fall admissions is early March. The deadline for spring admissions is early October. Please check our website for current filing period dates. |

| Do the prerequisite courses and tests need to be completed before I can submit my application? | |
| No. You may submit your application with these items in progress. However, we recommend they be completed as soon as possible. Please see the brochures for details. | |

What are the hours that I need to be available once entering the program? |
|
|
For the full-time programs, students need to be available from about 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. In addition, there will be later afternoon or evening classes also needed to complete the program. |

Are there any blocks available for part-time students? |
|
|
Yes. You may complete the program on a part-time basis. The part-time program can be completed in three or four semesters. Details will be discussed at the group advising sessions. |

How long does it take to complete the program? |
|
|
Our traditional full-time program is two semesters. Our part-time program requires at least three semesters. |
|

What is the difference between the Multiple and Single Subject Credentials? |
|
|
Generally, the Multiple Subject Credential authorizes teaching all subjects at the elementary school level (grades K-6). The Single Subject Credential authorizes teaching in the specific subject(s) named on the credential, primarily in middle and high school settings. |

Am I eligible for financial aid and scholarships? |
|
|
