For two consecutive years (2006-2007), U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Graduate Schools," ranked SDSU's College of Education 58th, "the top placement by any California State University campus.
The SDSU College of Education also supplies more than 50% of the new teachers in the San Diego Unified School District, the eighth largest district in the nation.
Success Stories!
John Paul Hernandez (Alliance for Excellence graduate 2004) was named Teacher of Promise for the Irvine School District. These awards are given to first year teachers who "show extraordinary ability and spirit" in their teaching. John Paul, a fourth grade teacher at Stone Creek in Woodbridge, was also awarded $300.00 for use in his classroom.
