Student Teacher/English (Secondary). O'Farrell/Morse Schools.

Background

Born in Minnesota I always had the desire to move to California, to escape the winters. So when the opportunity arose I took advantage of it. I have been here for twenty one years. I have been a dance instructor in ballet, tap, jazz, belly dance and modern. I have taught adults and children. My other careers have been in restaurant management and ownership, advertising sales, and real estate sales. I have toured as a dancer in Japan, Mexico, Sweden, and most major cities of the United States. Now I am anxious to complete my student teaching to teach English.

Interests, Activities & Plans

Currently I am student teaching at O'Farrell and Morse Schools in San Diego. After completion of this program I would like to return to Japan to teach high school and become more proficient at speaking, reading and writing Japanese language. I have four semesters of Japanese language experience and have lived there for six months.

Other Interesting Things

Being a Pisces I am very attracted to the water. I love sailing, canoeing, swimming and just being in the presence of any body of water. Reading is one of my loves, as well as cooking gourmet meals for friends and family, golf, bike riding, and theatre. Music and concerts have always been an important part of my life. Currently I am performing dance oriental (belly dance) with a fire eating show around the San Diego area in night clubs and private parties. I also dabble at a little sleight of hand magic.
