For students to see what technology is being used by today's athletes in training for world class competition. Students will also see that athletes are "real" people and at one time, they too, were high school students. Thus, it is not an impossible dream.

Procedure:

Have students go with a tour guide through the training complex to see everything that goes on at the site. This trip could take most of the school day.

Closure:

Remind the students that the athletes are just like them. They have set lofty goals and some will attain them. Tell the students that they can also set lofty goals for themselves.
