Mission
In the next following days you will be examining a variety of concepts related to land formation. Through your research you should be able to relate your findings into your project.
Outline:
Day 1- During the first day you will be introduced into the science related to land formation. The science that relates to this subject is Geology.
Day 2- During the second day you will be introduced into the concepts of plate tectonics. You will be examining what are plate tectonics, the theories behind plate tectonics, movement of plates, and the Theory of Pangea.
Day 3-During the third day you will research how islands form. Make sure to review day 2. Some of the concepts in day 2 will be reintroduced.
Day 4- During the fourth day you will examine different islands. You will focus on the Hawaiian islands and examine the ecology, and fauna.
Day 5- Wrap it up. During the last day we will review the entire week and begin to develop your new island.
