Student teacher in life science at O'Farrell Community School.

Background

I grew up in Brea, a small city in Orange County. My parents are Richard and Carol, and I also have two brothers, John and Jim. I went to High School at Brea-Olinda. I loved most of my teachers there, and that is one of the things that led me to my decision to become a teacher. I really enjoy spending my time helping others. I have done volunteer work at Brea Community Hospital, Bay Park Elementary, Toler Elementary, and Standley Middle School.

Interests, Activities & Plans

I am presently about to begin student teaching in Life Science. I am very excited about being a teacher. There are so many things in science that can be applied to every day life, and those are just a few of the things that I want to share with students. In the future I would like to get a further degree in Education.

Other Interesting Things

I love to read when I have free time. I love to travel. One of my favorite places to visit is Colorado because I like to ski. My dad also got me interested in fishing when I was young. I love to go to the Sierra Nevada mountains and hike and fish. I am very social so I really enjoy spending time with people and especially my close friends.
