Module 3: Online Student Learning Activities

WebQuests are not the only way in which to engage students in meaningful activities on the web, but they have been proven to be effective, efficient, and fairly easy to construct. Before you begin to create your own WebQuest, think back about the WebQuests you just examined, answer the following questions, then submit your answers to the listserve.

  1. Think of two features you saw in the previous WebQuests that could be incorporated in your product to strengthen student learning. WebQuests generally require students to engage in one or more of following active requirements: compare, contrast, deduce, induce, analyze errors, find support, make an abstraction, or analyze perspectives.

  2. Access the T3 discussion forum. Place "Module 3 Reflect" in the subject title. In the text box, identify your subject domain, an activity you believe would engage your students, and a brief justification as to why you think this activity will work in your subject domain.
