Creating Mailboxes Note: When you are done with this module, simply close this window to return to the module.
PurposeLike a set of real mailboxes, electronic mailboxes are used to hold and categorize your mail messages, making it easier to find specific messages in the future. The following steps will take you through the procedures of creating a mailbox, transferring your mail into the mailbox, and accessing the mail in the mailbox.
Accessing the mailbox optionStep 1: Select "Special" from the menu bar and pull down to "Mailboxes".
Creating a new mailboxStep 1: Click "New" when the "Mailboxes" dialog box appears.
Naming the mailboxStep 1: Enter a name for the new mailbox
Step 2: Click "OK".
(Note: The new mailbox will appear in the "Mailboxes" field. You can access this location at a later date if you wish to rename or remove a mailbox).
Saving the settingStep 1: Close the mailbox window. (You are now ready to transfer mail into the mailbox).
Transferring a messageStep 1: Select one of your messages by clicking
Step 2: Choose "Transfer" in the menu bar
Step 3: Pull down to identify the mailbox to which you wish to place your message.
Step 4: Release on the mailbox name. (Note: The message is now placed in the mailbox).
Accessing your mailboxStep 1: Select "Mailbox" from the menu bar
Step 2: Slide down the list until you highlight your desired mailbox
Step 3: Release on the mailbox name (Note: The mailbox will open, showing the enclosed messages).
