Point Loma, a great view of San Diego.
But there is much more to see and do at Cabrillo National Monument: Discover the history of 16th century exploration, walk the stairs of the Old Point Loma Lighthouse, learn the military history of Point Loma, explore Tidepools, experience coastal sage scrub, watch the annual winter gray whale migration, and more.
Cabrillo National Monument sits high atop Point Loma looking out over the bay Cabrillo sailed into on 28 September, 1542. A heroic statue at a dramatic overlook commemorates this event. Each day a film, In Search of Cabrillo, is shown at the visitor center, an exhibit hall explores the manŐs past, and ranger led talks are frequently given on weekends.
