What to do:
Select a lesson plan from the online book:
Section 4 (Lesson plans) or a lesson plan you
developed yourself.
Write a critique of the lesson plan, being
sure to address each of the following in a
paragraph.
Introductory
Information: Does the lesson plan provide adequet
introductory information? Does the lesson itself seem appropriate
for the targeted group? Is there more information you would like to
have when determining whether or not to use this lesson?
Goals
& Objectives: Are they clear? Well-written? Do they
match what is done in the actual activity? If not, make suggestions
for changes.
Media: Are the media used in this lesson
well-selected?
Material & Procedure:
Are the materials needed in the procedure all
clearly accounted for? Is the procedure logical and easy to follow?
Try going through the lesson from start to finish and see if
anything is missing. Is there adequete guidance for following the
procedure/using the materials? Is additional set-up or facilitation
assistance needed?
Evaluation: Does the assessment match the
objectives and procedure?
Use of instructional
theories and models: in what ways? Is the
use appropriate? What makes this lesson plan distinctive?
Ideas for Improvement: How would you improve this
lesson plan?
