It's easier, of course, if you use editing software designed specifically for HTML. Such editors range in price from $15 to several hundreds of dollars. You can download free demo versions of many of these editors to see how you like them. Here are some links:
The last of these, HTML Web Weaver Lite, is a shareware program priced at only $15 to educators. It is a slightly less powerful version of World Wide Web Weaver 1.1.1 which is installed on the machines in the labs. It's less WYSIWYG than the others, but it will be all you'd need for this course.
