Objective


The students will practice being critical viewers and active listeners.
The students will answer to questions showing their comprehensoin of the film.
The students will practice their analytical thinking and writing skills.

Resources needed


A television and a VCR.

Lesson


  1. Access students prior knowledge asking them questions, for example: Have you ever heard of the Bermuda Triangle? Do you know what occured there? What do you believe to be true?
    The teacher will access prior knowledge before showing the film. Example questions: Do you think that the geographic location is a factor of this mystery? Can science explain the mystery? What was the motivation of people to pass through this area? Could storms or other types of weather have been responsible? Is it safe now to pass through this area?


Homework


Complete a typed analytical response to the questions and the film.
