Week 1 |
Week one includes the study of several polar ice cap explorers. Included is the creation of a bio-board for a selected explorer. Click on the picture of the explorer Mathew Henson to start the unit. |
Week 2 |
Week two asks the question "Why do we explore?" Included is the creation of a medium to reinact a famous exploration of the polar ice caps. The student will ultimately reflect on something that he or she may have explored. Click on the globe to start the unit. |
Week 3 |
Week three includes the mapping a trip. Included is the duplication of what an polar explorer may have experienced when preparing for an expedition. A poster board is used to display the route of the trip. Click on the map of Antarctica to start the unit. |
