  We'll begin by aligning ED 690 with the rest of the EdTech program. We'll then review the website ... taking an initial pass at the activites you'll be completing, the resources available to you, and the books and readings you'll complete over the next several weeks.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 We'll next attend to inquiry. Specifically we'll explore:

The research spectrum, the research process, and the nature of data

Inductive and deductive thinking

What research contributes to the design, implementation, and evaluation of the learning/performance interventions that characterize our field

The standards (professional and personal) that guide our conduct as researchers

The role of SDSU's IRB

The political realities of conducting research; building a research team

Thinking like an investigator; handling the burden of proof
  We'll then explore how grocery shopping points to research opportunities. Among the stores we'll visit: Vons/Safeway, Bashas, and Ralphs/Fry's/Kroger.
