SUBJECT: Concerned About Plagiarism?

Turnitin ("turn it in") is a plagiarism detection service available to all SDSU faculty and teaching associates. Approximately 100 faculty and teaching associates currently are using Turnitin.com. Papers are submitted to Turnitin.com's database and compared to various Internet sources to enable faculty to have greater confidence in the paper's originality.

As is common with software licenses, our renewal costs for this service have recently doubled. Based on faculty requests, we will continue to subscribe to the service for at least one more year; however, anticipated future increases would be more cost-effective if this service were utilized by more faculty, so I wanted to be certain you were aware of this option.
