Create a simple slide show using Kid Pix.

1. Design the screens for the slide show

  • Think of a topic or sequence which can be illustrated to help convey a message. Keep it simple and have fun!
  • Open Kid Pix Studio Deluxe from the hard drive and select the middle frame on the top row "Kid Pix".
  • Illustrate your first scene for your slide show
  • When you're finished, select "Save a picture" from the File menu.
  • Title your picture with your initials and "1" to denote that this is the first scene. The picture is saved in a folder within Kid Pix titled "My Pix."
  • Make your next screen for your sequence by either adding to your first picture to or design a new scene.
  • Save this picture as your initials and "2".
  • Continue illustrating for the next picture "3". When you have completed your illustrations and saved all of them, select "Return to Picker" from the file menu.

2. Make the slide show

  • Click on the button "Side Show" and you will see a screen full of trucks.
  • Insert your saved pictures into the trucks to create the show. On the first truck, click the left button above the rear tire. This will allow you to navigate to your first picture and click "Open" to place the picture on the truck.
  • The next button on the truck applies a sound to this picture. Click and select a sound if you'd like.
  • The last button on the truck selects the transition from slide 1 to slide 2. Select a transition and move on to truck 2. Click all three buttons on each truck that you have a picture for. When you have finished, click the play button (triangle) at the bottom of the screen to watch your show!
