Getting Started
If you have not already done so, please:
- Apply for admission to the Department.
- Register for EDTEC 561:
- Sign in or update the database.
If you have not already signed in to the department database, or if your email address or other information has changed [currently unavailable].
- Contribute to the listserv.
- Review the email guidelines.
- Establish a Web account
- Create your Assigments Web Page.
On-campus section: request an add code from Elsa (etapi@mail.sdsu.edu) or bring an Open University (Extended Studies) registration form to the first class session.
On-line section: College of Extended Studies Online Registration.
Much of the dialog among students and the instructor in this course will take place via the course listserv. You'll be subscribed to the listserv automatically. Participate in order to receive important information from fellow students and the instructor.
These conventions facilitate clear communication and help insure that completed assignments are given the credit they are due.
You will need your own Web space for this course. You can obtain a free account on the SDSU Rohan server (obtain online through the SDSU Web portal), or through many free online Web space providers (obligatory ads are OK), or through commercial Internet Service Providers. If you have an et.sdsu.edu account, you may use that as well. Avoid the free or low coast Yahoo Geocities accounts, as they don't allow Dreamweaver access.
