Module 8: Designing an educational multimedia web page
Introduction: Multimedia web page development
Multimedia web page development is a much-sought after skill in our graduates. In the course of this workshop, you will build your own educational multimedia web page to be posted, on approval of the General Editor, as part of the Encyclopedia of Educational Technology (EET), a web publication of the San Diego State University Department of Educational Technology.
This venue provides not only a real audience for your work, it also provides the context of a larger project that will help you learn to work with style guides, meet technical specifications, and generally design and build distinctive, effective multimedia materials in a team environment. This type of multimedia development is probably more common than the individual, one-off type of project you might do for a small organization.
In this module, you will:
- begin exploring the use of the ADDIE model in multimedia development.
- select a topic for your own educational web page.
- draft a project proposal and outline.
