Introduction

1 to 6 points

No introduction is made to the school or vision that is to be reached.

7 to 8.5 points

Readers are aware of the overall vision for the school, and the stakeholder who helped you reach the vision.

9 to 10 points

The first sections clearly identifies the school and stakeholder, and provides an overview of the vision.

Appropriateness

1 to 12 points

Questions are not appropriate for the stakeholders being used.

13 to 17 points

Questions are somewhat appropriate to the stakeholders, but the relevancy could be stronger.

18 to 20 points

Questions are appropriate and relevant to the stakeholders.

Probing, open-ended, questions

1 to 12 points

The questions for the stakeholders are too constrained to solicit valuable information.

13 to 17 points

Most of the questions are open-ended, and should be able to solicit valid information from the stakeholders.

18 to 20 points

All of the questions are open-ended, and probe the thinking of the stakeholders.

Questions are oriented towards the future

1 to 12 points

The questions used to solicit information are focused on past or current conditions.

13 to 17 points

Most of the questions are future oriented, but not structured strongly enough to force the stakeholder to expand their thinking.

18 to 20 points

All questions are focused on the possibilities of how a school could or should be structured in regards to technology, teaching, and/or learning.

Conclusions

1 to 6 points

The conclusions are not adequately justified. A lack of relevance between the information gathered and the conclusions exists.

7 to 8.5 points

The conclusion is adequately justified, although some lack of relevancy exists.

9 to 10 points

The conclusions are strong and relevant, and reflect the depth of the author's insights.

Clarity of writing

1 to 6 points

It is hard to know what the writer is trying to express. Writing is convoluted. Misspelled words, incorrect grammar, and improper punctuation were evident.

7 to 8.5 points

Writing is clear, but unnecessary words are used. Meaning is sometimes hidden. A few words are either misused or misspelled. A few grammar and punctuation errors have been found.

9 to 10 points

Writing is crisp, clear, and succinct. The writer incorporates the active voice when appropriate. No misspelling, grammar, or punctuation mistakes are evident.

Timeliness

1 to 5 points

Material was submitted more than one class late.

6 to 9.5 points

Material was submitted up to one class late.

10 points

Material is submitted on time.
