This course was supported, in part, through an Academic Opportunity Funds grant from the CSU Chancellor's office. This grant allowed for the collaboration of professors from San Diego State University and CSU Bakersfield, as well as a strong cohort of student assistants.

The professors involved in the project included Donn Ritchie and Bob Hoffman from SDSU, and David Georgi and Janet Hamann from Bakersfield.
