Module 5: Getting Funding
In this session we asked you to start putting together your technology use plan by identifying your budget. Now, think back to some of the grant opportunities you saw in the Connect section of this module. Some questions you would need to know the answers to before you approach a funding institution might include:
- Which institutions might be the most appropriate for funding your idea?
- How would you approach one of these sources in order to apply for a grant?
- What will make your site and your plan stand out in the highly competitive grant application process?
- What will demonstrate that your plan is helping to fill an important need?
- How will you build community and organizational support for your ideas?
- How will you demonstrate community and organizational support?
For the Newsgroup discussion, reflect on the third question (What will make your site and your plan stand out in the highly competitive grant application process?) then enter your response.
