I have been teaching in Swift Current, Saskatchewan since 1970 and am currently on educational leave to pursue my masters in educational technology.
In 1989 Fairview Middle School was chosen as one of two sites for a provincial pilot project in technology. Since that time I have worked as the school's network administrator, computer coach, math teacher and vice principal. This involvement in technology fanned an already keen interest in the opportunities technology presents for education. This year at SDSU will give me an excellent opportunity to study the opportunities and challenges of this field.
Besides my interest in technology, I persue interests in golf, ice hockey, basketball and fishing. My wife, Pat, is an ardent traveller and I have caught the 'bug' from her. We have travelled to Russia, Europe, the Carribean, Mexico, the United States and Austrailia. Our trip to Australia lasted a year and included stops at several pacific spots along the route, most noticalbv New Zealand, and the Cook Islands.
The following link is to a home page that students and I created for out school before I left. It is one section of an education site featuring all schools in our school district.
