Interesting Article
I just read this article. http://www.wired.com/news/culture/0,1284,69806,00.html?tw=rss.TEK It wasn't this way when I went to school. I am out of the loop in terms of high schools and their implementation of technology in the classroom. Is this article the norm?

Not in my experience. I know there are those districts in spots here and there that have especially embraced technology -- even some states have embarked on missions to give all of their students access to laptops; however, in my local experience, this is not happening here yet, except in isolated situations like High Tech High.

maybe in isolated areas, but it is certainly not the norm, by any means, especially in CA (except maybe for spots like High Tech High)
