Admissions Process
PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY: PROGRAM & CSU APPLICATIONS REQUIRED
Applicants to all programs must file 2 applications :
(a) To the specific professional program in Department of Counseling and School Psychology.
(b) To the SDSU Graduate Studies Division (California State Univeristy application for graduate study).
Each program has developed its own separate and different application materials because the professional training paths of each program require different qualifications. All CSP Programs require:
- Separate applications for each program for which you wish to apply.
- Three letters of recommendation in sealed envelopes. Consult your program application for specific forms if required.
- One transcript for all colleges and universities attended
- GRE scores must be included in the application, in addition to scores submitted directly to the university Non-residents have one semester to take this.
- CBEST results if applying for the School Psychology or School Counseling.
- Concurrent application to the SDSU Graduate Studies Division. CSU Applications for Graduate Study are on-line at http://csumentor.com. If you have any questions regarding application for graduate admissions, call 619-594-0884.
