from
Claris Home Page version 2.0
After editing your personal web page,
you can upload it to an Ed Tech web server from within
Claris Home Page. Follow these steps:
- Name your personal home page with
your first initial and last name and the .html extension
(for example: emorales.html).
Place the file along with any linked .jpg or .gif files
in a folder with the same name, but without the .html
extension.
The folder and its contents should look something like
this:
- Open your personal web page in
Claris Home Page. Select the File > Remote >
Upload... menu item. The
Upload dialog box appears:
Be sure to check the
Include image
files box if your web pages
has any .jpg or .gif files in it.
Click on the Set FTP
Options button in the
Upload Location area to set the Aznet server.
Fill in the Server Name as
shown.
Type in your User Name (the name before the @ sign) and
your email Password.
Fill in the Remote Folder as shown, and leave FTP Mode in
the default Passive.
Click on OK.
The Upload dialog box will reappear. Click on
Upload.
The folder (directory) and all .html, .jpg, and .gif
files will be uploaded to the web server.
- You won't be able to see it, but
the directory and its associated files will look
something like this on the web server.
- To check to see whether your web
page is being served properly, locate the "Location:" or
"Go to:" field in your web browser.
Type in the URL for your file in the following format:
http://aznet.net/~UserName/FileName.html
for example:
http://aznet.net/~emorales/emorales.html.
