Click and hold on the Styles Pull-down menu in the Toolbar:
Select the Style you wish to use.
Or
Select the text you wish to style.
Select Style from the Format menu
The Style Window will appear:
Click once on any Style you wish from the list at the left of the window. A sample of the style will appear in the Paragraph Preview mini-window. When you find the style you like, click the Apply button. The chosen style will be applied to your selected text.
Creating a New Style
Adjust your text font, size, style, margins, borders, etc. as you wish
Select Style from the Format menu:
Choose New from the Style window.
The New Style menu will appear.
Type a name for your new style in the Name box. If you wish to save the style so it will be available in other documents, check the Add to template box. Click OK. Then click Apply in the Styles window.
Note1: Once you have created a style, you can apply it anytime by simply going to the Styles Pull-down menu in the Word Toolbar:
Note2: Remember you can only define one type of font, margin, border, etc. for each style. The style applies to the first line of the document and each succeeding line.
Note3: You can also build a style from scratch by using the Format button in the Style window.
