Uploading Your
Personal Web Pages
From Claris Home Page version 3.0
After editing your personal web pages,
you can upload them to an Ed Tech web server from within
Claris Home Page. Follow these steps:
- Name your personal home page with
your first initial and last name and the .html extenson
(gsmith.html, emorales.html). Place the file along with
an images folder in a folder with the same name, but
without the .html extension. The folder and it's contents
should look something like this:

- Open your personal web page in
Claris Home Page version 3.0. Select the File >
Remote > Upload... menu item. The Upload dialog
box appears:

Check the "Include image files"
checkbox, then click on "Set FTP
Options...".
- The FTP Options dialog
appears:

Fill in the Server Name and User
Name as shown. Type in your password. Type in
"Student_Web/" followed by the name of your folder that
was created on the web server for you. For example if
your name is Gregg Koyamatsu then type
"Student_Web/gkoyamatsu" into the Remote Folder
field.
Click on OK.
- Now the Upload dialog box should
look something like this:

Click on "Upload."
- The "Consolidate" dialog will
appear. Make sure "in a separate media folder" is
selected.

Click on
"Consolidate."
- The "Consolidation complete"
notice appears.

Click on "OK."
- You won't be able to see it, but
the directory and associated files will look something
like this on the web server.

- To check to see whether your web
page is being served properly, type the following URL in
the "Location:","Go to:", or "Address" field in your web
browser and press the Return key on your keyboard.
