For students/TMTs: |

|
|
The following questions
are meant to be thought provoking and help to facilitate email communication
and the mentoring process. We encourage students to
ask the TMTs questions that may help them to become better educators.
Technology integration into the classroom is important in our schools today,
and the skills/knowledge you receive from your TMT will help you to achieve
that goal. |

|
Some questions/topics to
inquire about can include: |
|
q
Design strategies
(How big should the font be, how much text v. pictures should be included, what
reading level should the links be at, etc.?) It is important that 470 students
use the experience of their TMTs to create a project that will best fit the
needs of the classroom students. |
|
q
Technology use (How
does a teacher go about determining whether or not a particular lesson would
be best represented using technology?) |
|
q
Student tasks (What
types of learning tasks can a student do using technology that they may not
be able to do without it?) |
|
q
Other online units
(What other online lessons/units does your TMT use in the classroom? Are they
successful? Where can you take a look at the unit?) |
|
q
Other advice: Be
creative. Don’t be afraid to ask a question. It is your future as a teacher
you are preparing for – now is your chance to pick the brains of experienced
educators. |
|
q
Student goals:
(TMTs can ask students about future plans, goals, etc.) |
