Posting Projects to ePrentice Center

Steps


Pictures


Set up new account:

  • Go to: http://eprentice.sdsu.kiko.com/
  • Click on the link to set up a new member account
  • Fill out new member account form
  • Return to log on and sign in

The ePrentice Homepage

  • You will be sent to the ePrentice Homepage
  • Important links are on the Left Nav bar
  • Any general information is posted here

Locating TMT project template

  • On the Left Nav bar-- click on "create"
  • Listed under "Templates" is the "Proposed Project Template"
  • Click to select
  • Then hit "Start using content creator"

Fill out template

  • Double click in each field and either enter in new project info or simply copy and paste text from your old projects posted
  • For "semester" enter Fall 01 (or current semester)
  • When you are done -- hit the SAVE button (You may have to double click up by the nav bar to bring up the save options)
  • A box pops up asking you what title you want and where you want to save it
  • Save it into your Bookbag
  • Hit "save"

Publish template

  • After you save your file a box pops up asking you to either preview or publish it
  • You can opt to view it or simply go ahead and hit "publish to web"

Publish form

  • Fill out publish form
  • For first "subject" category. Make sure to select "Proposed Projects" This is VERY important. Your project will not be posted in the right place if you select another subject. See picture.
  • You then NEED to select Fall 2001 (or current semester)-- under the first submenu under SUBJECT
  • Then select the topic under which you want the proposal to be filed under.
  • Under "second subject" you can select whatever you like.
  • When you are done -- hit "Publish"
  • A final window pops up indicating the URL of your template and if you saved it to your bookbag -- it will be in there
  • You will also receive an email with this info
  • You can send this link to another person or simply hit "cancel"
  • Go ahead and close Content creator window -- go back to homepage

Viewing posted project

  • From the directory of topics listed at the homepage -- select "Proposed Projects"
  • Select Fall 2001
  • Your project will appear under the topic in which you filed it. If you do not see it here, then you published it to the wrong spot.

Edit template

  • You can always edit your proposal by going to your bookbag and hitting the Edit button. You can then republish it for another semester
  • Simply go to the FILE menu and hit Save and then "Publish to Web" It will repost itself with any changes you made.
