Dr. Bernie Dodge, Project Director, is a professor of Educational Technology at San Diego State University. He was the founding president of San Diego Computer-Using Educators in 1982 and later served on the statewide CUE Board of Directors. He also co-directs T2ARP, a technology-oriented teacher preparation program and is the originator of the WebQuest model which has been widely embraced by teachers integrating the Internet into their classrooms.
Cherie Blut, Associate Project Manager, is a graduate of the Masters program in Educational Technology at San Diego State University. For the last two years, she has worked as an assistant on the evaluation team, led by Dr. Marcie Bober, for three local-area Challenge Grants-Patterns, Triton and ACT Now! Prior to receiving her masters degree, she managed a software and document imagining company for three years, taught several computer classes for a semester at Mira Costa College, as well as, participated in various projects in the fields of instructional design, performance technology, and distance education.
Dr. Marcie Bober, Project Evaluator, is an Asst. Professor of Educational Technology at San Diego State University, where she specializes in program and product evaluation. Since 1996, she has served as Associate or Lead Evaluator on several local-area Challenge Grants-Patterns, Triton and ACT Now!. She is a former high school teacher, working for several years in alternative settings that featured technology-enhanced curricula customzed to meet students' individual learning needs. She has also produced, under contract, a variety of teacher's guides to accompany third-party software.
Ms. Renee L. Morgan, Evaluation Assistant, is a well-respected educational technologist. She has conducted comprehensive evaluations for government, commercial, and educational clients. She applies a variety of evaluation approaches, develops custom assessment instruments, and produces comprehensive, client-focused reports. Her experience as a high school and college educator contributes to her expertise in instructional design and development. Renee's content expertise is in the areas of mathematics and computer science.
Jose Moreno is a Fulbright scholar from Argentina. He is an engineer and has worked teaching technology to K12 teachers and students for the last four years in his country. Mr. Moreno has also worked as a technology consultant for educational institutions and private companies. Many of his proposals have been awarded by both the Argentinians Federal and State Ministries of Education. In 1998, he won an Fulbright scholarship for studying Educational Technology at SDSU. He expects to graduate in May 2000.
Douglas Scott is a graduate student at San Diego State University. He graduated Fresno State University in 1998 with a BA in Religious Studies and a minor in Computer Science. He has worked as an English tutor for the Educational Opportunity Program in Contra Costa County and as an aid for Disabled Student Services at Fresno State. Prior to joining the LTCA project he worked as an E-commerce website evaluator.
