EDTEC Student and Alumni Organizations
SNAPPLE, as its name implies, is a very informal and loose collection of about 20 alumi living in San Diego. The name stands for Socializing Networking and Plentiful Potluck Eats. The organization was founded so alumni could get together socially outside of meetings or professional associations. SNAPPLE meetings are usually held quarterly on a Tuesday or Wednesday evening. Intentionally unstructured, these sessions are convened in someone's living room and each person spends a few minutes describing what they are doing, what they want to be doing. It is part social and part networking. For further details, contact Jennifer Mosby.
SAGE (Student Associates for Graduates in Educational Technology) continues to organize activities and provide services for current graduate students and alumni of the SDSU EDTEC program. This past year SAGE sponsored two presentations by prospective employers of EDTEC, Arthur Anderson Consulting, Click2Learn, and Leading Way. Alumni frequently attend SAGE events and are always welcome. To check on current activities see http://edweb.sdsu.edu/SAGE/SAGEPage.html.
