This is how you have a good time.

You will need a drink, cup, ice, napkins, plate, and a tray.

First, pour the drink into the cup. Then, put the ice into the cup. Next, make brownies ( see the box). Then, put all the stuff on the tray. Finally, turn on TV, and sit down.

This is one way to have fun after playing tennis.

STEP TWELVE COMPARE

By now you will have two versions of your how-to paragraph. The first one follows the steps outlined in the textbook and only has sentences. The second version covers the same material but is formatted so it has bulleted and numbered lists.

Which one do you think is clearer to understand and read?

Lists

Write down at least two reasons to back up your opinion. (Use bullets or write complete sentences for this answer.)

Bulleted and numbered lists are easier to read because numbers tell you in a shorter thing so you can get on with it and not have to read next, first and then. Bullets make it so you don't think cup and drink are c'drink!
