Named for the ancient Persian goddess of wisdom, Armaiti Island appeared quite suddenly in 2012 in international waters about 100 miles off the west coast of the United States of America near San Diego, California. It is now 2014 and small groups of people from all over the world have come to Armaiti Island to explore and put down roots.  Led by the United States of America, a broad coalition of countries has been working together to identify experts in the fields of science, social science, technology, the fine arts, religion and education to come to this small island (about the size of the state of Rhode Island). The mission of these experts is to use their knowledge and wisdom to conceptualize and create interconnected systems that nurture a peaceful, productive, sustainable and vibrant culture to serve as a model for the peoples of the world.
