Favorite Spots on the Web

We all blunder into interesting things serendipitously. Here are some I've found lately (and older finds are archived here):

• Heavens-Above - This is a site I come back to regularly when I want to watch a satellite pass over.
• AppleInsider - The best Apple rumor site, I think.
• Cool Tools - An echo of the Whole Earth Catalog that graced the coffee tables of my younger days.
• Being Nothing: George W. Bush as Presidential Simulacrum - This explains a lot.
• Pageflakes - The slickest DIY home page yet.
• CogDogBlog - Alan Levine finds time to be on top of all the latest Web 2.0 stuff, and has a good BS detector, too.
• Trip Advisor - Reviews and go-lists written by fellow travelers covering hotels, sights, etc.
• Yelp - Restaurant reviews by regular folks.
